Keeping Banana Male Wrasse (Thalassoma lutescens) in an Aquarium

The Banana Male Wrasse, also known as the Yellow Wrasse, is a popular and colorful fish species that many hobbyists love to keep in their aquariums. Here are some things to consider when keeping this fish:

Tank Size

These fish need a relatively large tank, at least 75 gallons, with plenty of live rock and hiding places. They are active swimmers and need plenty of space to move around.

Diet

Banana Male Wrasse are carnivorous and need a varied diet that includes both meaty foods and live prey like brine shrimp and small crustaceans. They will also eat small fish and invertebrates, so be careful when selecting tankmates.
