Who had quite the bristletooth within he
With colors so bright
And fins that took flight
He swam through the reef with great glee!
From Indonesia he called his home
Where the coral reefs brightly shone

And keep the reef clean, no need to roam!
But don't let his cute face deceive
For Tomini Tang can be quite aggrieved
When threatened, he'll stick

Keeping Tomini Bristletooth Tang in an Aquarium
The Tomini Bristletooth Tang (Ctenochaetus tominiensis), also known as Tomini Surgeonfish, is a colorful and active fish that can make a great addition to a home aquarium.
Tank Setup
To keep a Tomini Bristletooth Tang healthy and happy, you'll need a tank that's at least 75 gallons in size. This fish does best in a tank with plenty of rocks and live coral for hiding, grazing, and exploring. It also needs a good amount of open swimming space, so be sure to choose a tank with enough room.
Water Conditions
Like most saltwater fish, Tomini Bristletooth Tang will do best in a well-established, stable aquarium. Water quality and temperature are also important factors in keeping these fish healthy. The ideal water temperature for this species is between 75-82°F, with a specific gravity of 1.021-1.026 and a pH range of 8.1-8.4.
Diet
Tomini Bristletooth Tangs are herbivores, meaning they eat only plant matter. In the wild, they graze on algae and other plant material growing on rocks and coral. In the aquarium, you'll need to provide them with a variety of fresh vegetables like spinach, broccoli, seaweed, and algae-based flakes or pellets.
